KRUT will bring to Canada an unrivaled experience of the bandura, a native Ukrainian 65 string folk instrument. Her performances impress with the charm of her voice, heartfelt lyrics, and fabulous musical arrangements, creating a unique and inimitable sound.
Maryna Krut expresses a great joy and excitement about her first major tour of Canada, “My purpose is to introduce you to the incredible Ukrainian instrument, the bandura. I'm bringing you stories from Donetsk region and carols from Halychyna region in the West of Ukraine. We will immerse ourselves in the beauty of Ukrainian song; I will open the unique world of the bandura sound, unraveling it in a new way for each of you. The program will include Ukrainian carols and shchedrivkas, all time favorite songs and my original songs from various albums.”
Maryna regularly performs for Ukrainian military in the combat zones. Like no one else, she understands the importance of helping those who are risking their lives for the sake of their country's independence and freedom. The singer will be carrying this message across Canada.
