Event Description
In the Rearview is a collective portrait of people with a single goal: finding safety amid the throes of war. The film captures the evacuation stories of those fleeing war-torn Ukraine.
The documentary premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) last year and has been shortlisted for an Oscar this year. To date, it has received 33 awards and has been screened at 88 festivals worldwide.
In the Rearview is now available online across Canada, thanks to TVO, an Ontario-based broadcaster

Anna Palenchuk: "I’m a film producer with over 12 years of experience. I relocated to Canada two years ago with my family due to the full-scale Russian invasion. I’ve had the privilege of working with award-winning directors such as Mantas Kvedaravicius, Vitaliy Manskiy, Oleg Sentsov, and Akhtem Seitablayev. Films I’ve produced have premiered at festivals like Berlinale, Cannes, TIFF, IDFA, KVIFF, OIFF, and Hot Docs, among others".
