Event Description

On May 31st, the NATO Association of Canada is partnering with the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, Consulate General of Ukraine in Toronto, Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, Centre for European & Eurasian Studies at the University of Toronto’s Munk School, and Mriya Aid to host a one-day conference titled “Safeguarding Ukraine's Future: Security Guarantees and Demining for Recovery & Reconstruction” bringing together influential voices from across sectors to examine the challenges and opportunities shaping Ukraine’s path forward.

This timely event will explore the future of Ukraine’s NATO membership, the viability of intermediary security guarantees, and the on-the-ground realities for businesses operating in or looking to invest in Ukraine. It will also address the critical role of demining efforts as a foundation for post-war recovery and sustainable reconstruction.

The conference features a keynote address by Diane Francis, Editor-at-Large at the National Post and Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, followed by three expert-led panels focused on security, business, and demining. Speakers include senior military officials, policy experts, investors, and humanitarian leaders with deep knowledge of Ukraine and the region.
