Event Description

This March, we are honored to invite you to delve into Ukrainian culture during a series of events hosted by a team of dedicated students from the National University of "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" (KMA) doing an exchange year at the University of Toronto. The project unfolds through three different events:

"Ukraine in Lyrics" (March 2, 6pm, St. Volodymyr’s Cathedral): Experience the combination of modern and iconic music and poetry echoing the nation's spirit;

"Ukraine in Films" (March 3, 6 pm, Innis Town Hall): Join us for a "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" screening by Sergei Parajanov, followed by a discussion with renowned Ukrainian Canadian academics immersing you in Ukraine's cultural heritage. This event is more formal than the others;

"Ukraine in Art" (March 9, 12 pm, St. Vladimir’s Institute): Touch the essence of culture through the guidance of our skilled masters, who will teach you the art of Ukrainian symbols in paintings and collages.
