Artists in Performance: Ukrainian Art Song Summer Institute 2019

For our third Ukrainian Art Song Summer Institute, the Ukrainian Art Song Projectpresents “Muse”. A poet, having lost his inspiration, retraces his life, striving to reawakenin himself the passion that once allowed him to create great works of art.Join us as eight extraordinary rising stars interpret the poems of Oleksandr Oles, which,together with the compositions of Myroslav Volynsky, Mykola Lysenko, Yakiv Stepovyiand Marko Kropyvnytskyi, offer a depth of emotions that reveals a stark truth.
Featured artists include Alexandra Beley (mezzo-soprano), Julie Anna Gulenko(soprano), Yurii Hryhorash (baritone), Kateryna Khartova (soprano), Teryn Kuzma(soprano), Katherine Mayba (soprano), Andrew Skitko (tenor) and Olenka Slywynska(mezzo-soprano).
