Event Description
We are pleased to announce the screening of Voices, a documentary on the Ukrainians reeling under the effects of war and trying to rebuild their lives in Canada on October 5, 2023. The documentary aims to capture their struggles on a micro-level and show their lives unfolding from a humane lens. It also shines spotlight on the organizations making significant differences in their lives.
Catholic Community Service of York Region, a leading community-building charity in the York region, collaborated for the first time with Cole Rutman, the documentary's executive producer, to find authentic voices for this student documentary funded by Western University and created by university students.
Please join us on the screening night this Thursday to learn about the struggle, determination and spirit of hope of the Ukrainians featured in the documentary.
