Voices That Cannot Be Erased- KOSA CHOIR Concert with guests DIVKA
Community Event
Event Description
Celebrating folk polyphony and the music of Ukraine through soaring hukanias (high hollers), raw dissonant harmonies, and intimate acappella delivery, we invite our audience to enter a different mode of time and listening—one that reconnects us to land, ritual, and the enduring strength of community.
Special guest DIVKA will bring their own electrifying take on Eastern European women’s folk music. Alina Kuzma, a spellbinding bandurist and vocal “forest nymph,” joins forces with Zoë Ëoz, a fierce violist with wild energy and sharp musicality. Their music is a sonic rebel reckoning—part myth, part mischief, and deeply rooted in global women’s music-making traditions.
In an effort of cultural resilience and community care, we are partnering with Save Ukrainian POWs who will be serving delicious food to provide funds for rehabilitation aid for wounded and returned soldiers in Ukraine. Bring cash!
Doors open at 7:00 pm. Performance starts at 7:30 pm.
