Mission Statement

To be a Canadian centre of excellence and innovation by promoting, educating and nurturing all aspects of Ukrainian culture and intellectual heritage, and to strengthen the identity and community of individuals of Ukrainian descent.


Goals and Objectives

St. Vladimir Institute is a residence centrally located in downtown Toronto for Canadian and foreign university and college students. It also serves as a centre for cultural activities and programs for children, seniors and everyone in between. The building includes a museum, library, theatre, cafeteria and meeting/venue spaces. SVI provides office space to several community and student organizations, and is committed to showcasing the creativity of artists and academics exploring Ukrainian-Canadian identity, history, culture and experience.
